Hello all, Bought my 1st Prius 9 months ago, a 2013 model 4 with the sunroof package. I have put on over 23K miles and loving it! I have found Priuschat to be an invaluable source of info. From forum recommendations, have already changed the oil twice (every10K) and the transmission fluid once (at 50K). Performed the services myself. Not hard to do if you take your time. I do enjoy reading Priuschat on a regular basis. Yes, I do like the new 2016 G4 Prius, saw a few at the NE auto show. Thanks again to all that have posted valuable info. Here is a pix of my ride when I bought it.
Welcome to PriusChat! A very smart choice of car, and also for you to have found this amazing resource for all things Prius-related!
Thanks guys! Looking forward to many trouble free years of driving her. Took off the snow tires today. It's been a very mild Winter in Mass.
Welcome from another newbie. You are going to love this place. I have noticed that quite a few of you folks use winter tires. I am in MN and I don't know anyone that has winter tires. Weird. I am going get some new wheels this year, maybe I will try winter tires on the original set. But being from a northern state you can appreciate this, snow tires or not.
I bought a slightly used set of snow tires mounted on Toyota Corolla steel rims making seasonal swap easy. Did it mainly to get up my steep 200 foot long driveway. Generally the roads in Mass are well maintained (snow removal and treated). LOL, absolutely correct. I lived outside of Seattle WA for a few years and quite a few don't know how to drive in the snow.
Thanks Tideland Prius! I really like the sunroof, heated front seats and the HUD. The navigation is ok, but prefer using Waze GPS on my cellphone. Bought a center console cellphone mount thru Priuschat. The HUD makes hypermiling easier.
Changed the cabin filter today at 65K miles. Don't know when it was last done. Doubt that the Subaru dealership changed it when I bought the car at 40K miles 10 months ago. Yuck!
