Look inside for pictures of my Gen 4 received on 2-27-16

I finally got a target date for receiving my Gen 4 model 4. They say it reaches the port on the 19th., and only a few days from there to my dealer.
On a side note, I also looked into the Cosco and other discount purchase options. There wasn't enough difference in the price to make it worth while to cancel my original order and place a new one. In fact, they were almost all practically identical prices.
Only issue for me is that from November till now this dealer dropped my trade in value from $16,000 to $12,000. Before the Gen 4 became available, they told me there would be only a slight drop in value once the 2016s came out. I don't call $4000 a slight drop. The blue book value of my 2012 loaded Prius with 20,000 miles on it is about $20,000. I'm looking into selling it to a friend for $15,000.

 

Well, there has been a delay in delivery of my car. They tell me it is still in Long Beach and will be arriving on the 26th.
My friend is going to purchase the car for $15,000 and the dealer is going to handle it for a $500 fee. So, I'll still get the tax advantage.

 

Don't really need anyone to handle it, but by doing it this way I get the tax advantage. Otherwise I'd certainly not pay the dealer $500 to do it.
