Nice to see the Prius v at the top of JD's Power's dependability rankings of 3-year-old vehicles, released yesterday. It lead the Compact MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) category. Toyota as a brand was fourth, behind Lexus, Porsche, and Buick. The number one problem bedeviling all automakers is the technology of the wireless connections, navigation, voice-recognition etc. of newer cars. I can attest to that - the only problem I've had with my much-loved v is with the navigation/entertainment screen, which became non-responsive in the heat. The dealership replaced it and all has been well since. Go Prius v!
Not to be the dog-in-the-manger, but there's been some troubling reports of inverter failures, coupled with push-back from dealerships, and ultimately Toyota, regarding warranty extensions.
...good, v needs some good news as RAV4 is sucking up sales. I have high hopes for v too, and it is popular for taxis (NYC for example incredible amount of v's).
The LED headlamps are great on the 2012 v Five, as well. Also replaced the halogen foglamps with lensed LED units and the squirrels can see us coming.
