We are finding that owners of the same trim of Prius with different tires from different manufacturs.

Please add your username and tire information if you recently bought a Prius 4th gen. Even going to a dealership and adding data points would be good.

So far, it seems that the Toyo NanoEnergyA29 drone on the highway. Thanks for those that added information already!

like the spreadsheet, but was just thinking, it would be nice to have other columns labeled (MPG)& ect. Just to see if there is a trend for a better tire that works best on gen 4, and yes I know there would be a bunch of variables. Any other thoughts?

it doesn't always come up, for some reason. maybe it needs time to load?

    Merged.

toyota doesn't use the max. the recommended pressures are on the drivers door jamb plate. please let us know what it says, and measure your tyres cold, for comparison.

There's apparently two distinct Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus: with different max sidewall, also some other variations, maybe wear index. The tread pattern is different in 195/65R15: one version has 3 wide spaced grooves, the other 4, more tightly space. Someone here even got two of each, and raised a fuss with the shop to get all the same.

I believe the two different kinds are manufactured in different countries. All of this seems somewhat cavalier attitude on Bridgestone's part, doesn't inspire confidence.

thanks vince22 for the good clear pic or the Max pressure, was wandering if they were using the 44 max pressure tires on the two eco also, think you just own the two. I know there are a couple on here that own the two eco already. My thinking was if Totota was inflating the front tires little more on the two eco, they might be using the higher pressure (51 psi) on EP422 tires. Maybe some of the other owners will chime in on the subject. Bisco stated that one owner got their Prius and the car had two tires of each, not matching tires. It pays to look, some people never do.

this tyre thing is going to be an mpg issue as these cars get older and owners have no clue when they replace tyres.

@Danny seems to have left out a 'Two Eco' option from the drop down menu to select from.
