Could someone post some photos how new LED headlights (hi/low beam) performs in night conditions. Maybe on road where is not surrounding lights distrubing.

I don't have any pictures, but there was once a Persona series driving behind me that had the LED lights and those things were bright. I'd almost say they were aimed a little bit too high, but then again we were driving over hills. I actually did a retrofit on mine (non-LED) and they're bright as well.

    Found a thread with pictures:

I have no pictures to share (although the link above looks like it has some good Gen-3 pictures) only the observation that coming from a Gen-2 Prius to a Gen-4 Prius there is an amazing difference in the headlight performance. I have no quantitative data, but rather only what my eyes tell me - much whiter color temperature and greater field of view in the Gen-4. I also like the auto hi-beam feature on my Prius 3.

Found this video. Not the best one but gives some kind of idea. Looks very promising indeed!

Please also let us know if anyone has a chance to try out foglights. I'm interested in knowing if they're useful (in which case I'd consider a Touring) or merely decorative (as they were on Gen2 and Gen3). I'd prefer a fabric interior (so a 3 w/ATP), but would be willing to consider Softex if the foglights provide meaningful additional lighting (so a 3T). Not sure when our local dealer is going to get a Touring in, so I can't see for myself yet.

Led on gen3 are quite powerful compared to normal headlights. And yes, high beam is crazy XD

This is the first car I've had LED's on - I typically have HIDs.

The GEN4 LEDs are very bright with a very good spread and reach down the road (i.e. VERY well aimed as low beams that it will do for the great majority of driving). They definitely are more full and bright then my previous car with HID headlamps and HID fogs.

High Beams seem aimed a bit too high to me but are equally as bright.

You won't have to worry about night driving/lighting - trust me. Excellent vision/lighting!

Nope it was a red one. I'll keep an eye out for your white one though. I'm typically around the Waukesha area, not so much around Milwaukee,

agreed, got a chance tonight, LEDs headlights are awesome, much better output than Rx350 AFS-bixenon HID.

Note on fog lights: We did get to see a Touring model last weekend. While it wasn't at night (alas), I did get to pull it up against a fence in a shaded area and look at light patterns. If anything, it seemed like less light than our Gen2's fog lights. These are decorations; very nice looking with the clearance lights and all, but almost entirely cosmetic.

Getting a look at the ATP's HUD the next day (we had to look at cars on three different dealer lots to see all the combinations that interested us) decided matters - my wife liked the HUD a lot more than she expected. We signed papers on a 3 w/ATP yesterday.

Thank you! Quite interesting, though at first that looked like more of a difference than I could see in the "light field" when I checked weekend before last. When I looked more closely at these pics, I noticed the "fog lights on" picture is "tighter", which makes the light field look larger. Once I realized that, what I see here is about what I recall - marginally more light at ground level, but not enough to notice without looking hard while A/B'ing it. Given the limited utility, I was happy to do without the Touring's shiny gingerbread up front to get the ATP's HUD and the 3's fabric interior (the moonroof's just a bonus).

    Thanks again for posting these!

I test drove a Four Touring last week at night. I thought at first that my high beams were on and pulled over to check and make sure I was only running the regular headlights. They are bright!

A pic with just the fog lights turned on would be interesting .

& plz, not up against a wall. Park 25 ft from the wall. This way we can see the spread & beam pattern.

Looks like you cannot run just the fogs. Beam is wider than lows and much shorter throw. The so-called clearance lights are useless.
