Is there a way to reset the maintenance light warning for 2015 prius v4? I have tried press and hold km/mph and pressing power twice and no luck. and tried pressing the trip with the power twice and no luck.. thanks,
It's in the manual but on a 2012: 1. Place ODO readout on "Trip A" 2. Power down 3. Hold KM/M switch down as you press Power button twice (no brake) 4. Keep holding KM/M while ODO readout goes from ------- to 000000 Done
I have a 2015 Prius v (lowercase v) Three . This model includes 4.2-in. TFT Multi-Information Display w/ selectable screens, which means the Trip button is a separate button on the steering wheel, not part of the 4 way circle switch. I still cannot reset the "maintenance required" message that covers the entire TFT (except for the bottom row showing the odometer or trip-meter). There is no "light", just the message. The procedure above is in my manual but does not work. Tried "Trip A" and all other starting indicators, no luck. Does anyone have another procedure for models with TFT?
Just encountered this with my 2015 Prius v 3. The instruction manual is just plain wrong for the newer models—I went to YouTube for the proper fix, which involves no combo-pressing of trip buttons and power buttons and magic incantations. Turn the car on. In the heads-up display on the top of the dash, use the navigation pad on the steering wheel to navigate (left or right) to the gear icon, which is "Settings". Hit the center button to select. Navigate down to the "Maintenance System" menu item. Hit the center button to select. At the "Do you want to initialize?" prompt, select "Yes". Hit the center button to select. That should do it.
