2004 error code

    There's a prius for sale in my area that has the following error as pictured.

    I don't own a prius but I'm curious if this means it needs a new battery?


    This is for a 2004 prius with under 50k miles, thanks!!!!

    If seller is legit. They should have no problem allowing you to have the dealer or Prius mechanic take a reading on their TIS scanner. If seller gives you grief about it they are screaming to you that they are trying to rip you off.

    If a local PC member is available with a TIS miniVCI, maybe they can help out???

    Okay, that is a plug of EV. So the previous pic must mean the car is not plugged in. Okay obvious but you should get a reading prior to purchase at a minimum.

    they must have added an aftermarket ev system. be very careful.

    Definitely do a PPI before you buy something like that. You don't need to inherit someones frankenstein
