I had this one made by MAXLUX, it's Korean made and it's been on my Prius over 1 year+ now, I installed many set for my co-worker and friends car, it's reliable. I had the 5K kelvin version and it's nice and bright. I'd rather get these other than TRS or any other branded on Ebay etc. I DON'T use any wiring harness with relay, I just plug straight in and it turn on without any issue. This kit only cost $60 and it's ship out from Florida. If you want LED H11 conversion try out TorchStar brand, they made a good one and my friend has it on her 2013 Prius and she's happy over the OEM halogen bulbs.

How are the brightness and beam pattern with either of these LED kits?

I have no issues. Very high quality Philips. I get many compliments.

The Moromoto kit from TRS is what I have and I would consider it the best *HID* kit out there... Not saying it's the best solution overall because these LED kits seem to be pretty good. Would you recommend upgrading to their LED kit from what I have or only as a stock upgrade?

I would go with xenon depot for their led kit honestly. Hid kits from TRS gave me issues with one headlamp not turning on so I stay away from them.

I guess the lower lumens rating is not a problem then?

Not at all. My 6000k led's have a cooler temp and will last 50,000 hours. Gotta love that part.

I prefer hid's, but they run much hotter and plus I get the same color as hid's. Led's look great and last long.

Did you read the reviews? There are several that say the LED is definitely better than oem halogen, but not as good as HID. So if you already have a good HID kit installed, which you do, you might want to reconsider.

I also found this particular review telling:

In which the beam pattern of the twin LED diodes with a dark space directly in front of the bulb assembly seems to manifest itself in a strange way. This image from the website shows the dark spot on both LED bulb types:

I did read the reviews. I wasn't really sure what the cat's eye thing was. And I have a cat lol. Does it look weird? My HIDs have a shadow where the wire is.

The catseye thing is referring to the vertical slit like irises of the eye of a cat. So if you look at the LED bulb light pattern, you can see that if it is mounted in the projector, it will have a semi-sphere of light emanating from each LED diode. These light spheres will be on either side of the circuit board and the dark area in the front will be a top to bottom direction. So what the reviewer is saying is that, like a cat's eye, when the projector lens is viewed straight on, there is a cat's eye effect with the dark vertical area of the light pattern within the projector.

As for the ground wire shadow, you should not have the ground shadow problem if you have the proper H11b HID bulbs from TRS, the ones with the ground wire opposite the large tab, and between the two smaller tabs, in which the grounding wire ends up in the 6 o'clock bottom position in it's final mounting position.

I believe I got the correct HID bulbs after having a different kit, and the shadow mostly went away, but I feel like I can still see it. Maybe I just knew where it was. If you have cats eye bulbs, what does the light pattern on a wall look like?

The reviewer that mentions the cat eye effect says the pattern on the wall is good. This, I believe, is due to the other, adjacent light pattern, overlaps the dark area and "covers" it up.

I see. That's what you had me worried about for a minute. But if it only has the effect inside the projectors, that would be cool.
