Low Tire Pressure Warning Light is ON? I have Good tire pressure in all tires? What's Wrong?

    Yeah the little batteries in there are probably like car 12v batteries: when the weather is cold you find out they were weak...

    RobH did you go with OEM Toyota or just what they gave you?

    Dorman 974-033 from Amazon. About $30 each. Ordered tires online (Tirerack?) and had the sensors installed at the same time. Used Techstream to register the new ids.

    I got the old sensors back and took one apart. The battery is embedded in some sort of epoxy. With a lot of time/care, you could probably dig out the old battery and replace it.

    Maybe embedding it in epoxy improves it's longevity, seals out air? And typically dooms it once the battery does fail.

    That would get us out of a world of hurt.
