Can prius chat shop beat sparks trd?

 

I recently picked up a set of these, seat covers and I have installed them. I want these to last a long time. What kind of cleaner and conditioners are people using on these covers. I have read plenty of bad reviews on the meguiars leather wipes, but what about the gel does it work well in the long run. The other cleaner I have heard good things about is the Mothers VLR, but I heard that it shouldn't be used on untreated leather. Is the Perforated section untreated leather?

 

Lexol cleaners / conditioner that's what I use.

 

I have black and white katskinz leather installed by the dealer.

It's really difficult keeping it clean.

I finally gave up and got some leather Clazzio seat covers.

Install is going to be fun.

Might try the Lexol cleaner / conditioner on this unless I find something better for the leather.

 

Got them installed and sealed it with Meguiars

 

I went the "two tone" look, stole the idea from someone here in Priuschat.............

 

Took me all day, and my fingers were crippled afterwards................

The two tone always looks good. Priuschat, Hawaiianbuilt or myself (Orenji) can all answer your questions. There is no going back once you have Clazzio installed! Such a cheap upgrade that totally changes the look and feel of your Prius!

 

Aren’t the leather ones still vinyl with just perforated leather inserts? I want a set but I don’t want to pay 500-600 for half leather half plastic

 

Clazzio also offers a PVC only version for about half the price. I’ve been running those for about 2 years now with no issues.

 

Center perforated leslather inserts makes the seat covers longer lasting and more durable.

 

I really like those seat covers, but the Mrs has a disagreement with the price especially if it gets hit with import tax.

 

It's the same design as almost all new cars these days, the days of all leather are gone for most cars. Center is real leather with the sides and back PVC. Very hard to tell the difference from the leather part from the PVC part.

 

How are these covers holding up now? I want to order some, I think I like the dark grey the best. Tired of grey softex seats in my Two, really wanting some darker leather!

 

It is a definite upgrade that is worth the money. Installed mine (did a two-tone look) and 2 1/2 years later they still look new.

 

Has anyone in colder parts of the lower 48 states gone without heated seats with their Clazzios? And if yes, do they get really cold in winter?

I just finished the install of my brand new clazzio seat covers.

I’m a little bit surprised because my version is different than yours: the seams of my clazzio are exactly the same as those of the original seats.

Bad news, the headrests are not compatible with those of my vehicle. I am in Europe and all headrest have the same shape as that of the middle.

I have a question: have you some tips to avoid folds on front seats cushions?

Congrats on your seat covers. Only thing you can do is just clean and moisturizer the leather regularly. This will help with folds and cracking. I like to place a towel on my seats, helps reduce the rubbing on the leather when getting in and out. Enjoy your new seat covers!
