I guess this makes up for the lack of remote A/C. I didn't see that feature mentioned anywhere in the manual. Have they talked about the Telematic capabilities yet? I would love to have remote lock/unlock and even remote start via my mobile phone. I like been able to start the A/C on my PHEV Prius using the Entune app.

Yeah it was a thing in the early 2000s. After Toyota introduced High Solar Energy Absorbing (HSEA) glass, I really didn't see the need for it (that and we use sunshades when the car is parked).

I think the telematics feature you speak of is available only on the PHV Advanced (base model only have the Remote A/C on the fob, no mobile start).

Glass that can effectively block infrared could really help in reducing AC needs, and/or allow more driving with windows rolled completely up. Both of those could help with mpg.

In case you missed it, here's the specs from that @HTMLSpinnr uploaded when the Gen 3 was new.

Nice but why do I have to go to the dealer to enable the feature ?
Why isn't it set by default ?
So I can open and close the windows+moon roof with the mechanical key but I can only open but not close them with the remote ?
What kind of logic is that ?
Oh well,I guess we should be thankful the feature is there anyway !
Once again no warning light or message if washer fluid is low and once again we have to pay the dealer a visit to turn the annoying back-up beep of !
Voice recognition seems to be a bit dissapointing again .
Yes we can enter an adress or call somebody, but what about music, setting a radio station or controlling the air conditioning as you could in gen. 2 ?

How many cars can warn the driver that the windshield washer fluid is low?
    I have never seen it.

Yeah I have no idea why it's off by default. It's basically an unadvertised feature because how many people actually read the owner's manual? I mean, we're weird. We don't own the car and we've read it LOL.

That logic is actually standard in North America (I don't know how it is in Germany). Cars that had it back in the early 2000s had only wireless remote open. I'm guessing it's a liability issue if you were able to remotely close it (although it would be cool if the moonroof and windows auto closed when the car is locked).

Yeah seems silly to cut away a $10 feature.

Really? All of our Toyotas have had a Low Washer Fluid light. The Prius is the only car we've owned that doesn't have one.

Gen 1 Camry Hybrid uses the MID embedded within the instrument cluster

Perhaps that was the case with our 2004 Matrix.
Before I got my license, cars didn't have warning lights for low fuel either
They would probably have to install a pressure sensor on the windows to prevent it closing on somebody if you weren't there to visually check the windows were clear.
You also have public health insurance and sane banking laws. The relative amount of extra snow and ice you have to deal with makes a low fluid warning practical. Down here, we are mostly using the sprayers to remove rain spots .:)

They already have it for the auto-up windows and auto-close moonroof.

Yeah I just that on the Sonata site; anti-pinch sensors. So no real reason not to allow remote close of the auto close windows.

Unless they worried about something like this.

From the Gen 4 owner's manual: image.jpeg As a person who doesn't have direct experience with a Prius, I am curious what the "etc." refers to.
