So we have two gen 3's referenced in this thread with supposed combustion having occurred at the passenger side headlight area. A 2010 and a 2011. Kbb's was a package III, which infers the standard halogen headlight assuming no modification. E Silver doesn't tell us which package her 2011 is/was, but her wheels would suggest a halogen set-up also. Just in thinking out loud, the Gen 3 headlight harness TSB is for 2010/2011 which pop headlight bulbs at an unacceptable rate:

    T-SB-0204-12_ 2010 2011 Prius Headlight issue.pdf - Google Drive

Link lifted from 3prongpaul's thread regarding said TSB:

    Gen3 2010 2011 Headlight bulb longevity - upgrade to HID? | PriusChat

Is this known wonky headlight harness a prime suspect in these supposed fires? Who knows...this is just where I ended up going in trying to make sense of these two similar occurrences. I do feel this is a valid thread, although E Silver really needs to return and communicate in order to achieve reasonable credibility.

The OP stopped by "Today at 2:37 PM" but evidently had nothing to say to us.

Can someone assist me with what to do regarding my Toyota prius car caught fire and it burned completely.
while I was driving I smelled something burning and I thought it was because of the car heater and I turned it off. Then within two mints I seen few unusual lights appeared on my dashboard and started to smoke,I quickly stopped the car to have look but it quickly cought fire. Within 15 mints that London fire brigade come to put the fire away, it burned pretty badly and they said it might be an electrical issue which caused it.

Milage was 130000, All the service and other jobs done by Toyota, until this happen the car was running perfectly and I did not come across any problem. As I am having third party only Insurence, I am not covered with my Insurence.
I wonder anything Toyota GB can do for me with regarding this issue.

    Please assist me.

you can call the toyota owners service line, it's in your warranty manual. if they won't help, your only option is through the legal system. i imagine the magistrates won't take kindly to companies whose products catch fire. do you have a national transportation safety board? have you spoken with the dealer?

Call your insurance company, that's what you pay them for.

Car fires are common enough occurrences, and with the millions of Prii on the road, statistics say some will burn. In just the United States (I realize you are in the land of Boris) there's an average of 150,000 vehicles fire per year, 17 an hour. Fires resulting from collisions were about 4% of that number. So as you can see, in just the US, 144K vehicles burned for no other reason than "just because".

Sorry you were one of the unlucky chosen few.

I would suggest exiting the vehicle, proceeding to a safe distance, and calling the fire department. (On your side of the pond, you may want to ask for the fire brigade instead.)

It's a very rare thing. But you have electricity, gasoline, oxygen and heat there, so it can happen.

Old posts but I'm thinking it may have been the headlight socket based on the Op's picture and the fire in the passenger front corner.
There's nothing there really but the headlights. Whats hot there?

I replaced my G2 headlight sockets a few years ago as they were intermittent and they were pretty burned up. I used to drive the car myself alot then and used the headlights like a DRL car on all the time in the daytime.

If halogens the socket gets really really hot. They get extremely hot if you have replaced them with the Phillips after market super bright lights.
    They pull alot of power.

I would be curious to know if they use DRL.
