Installation Instructions for JDM Front/Rear Spoilers?

    Anyone have a lead on installation instructions for 'JDM' front/rear spoilers for the Prius+ Prius α Prius v types ZVW40 ZVW41?

    I just used 3m heavy duty double sidedtape. Didnt want to commit to drilling holes on front and rear bumpers. I just broke all the tabs off and laid down about 2 layers on front and 3 for rear and screwed them down with 2 screws on wheel well. Had them on for a year and they're holding up strong

    3m brand extreme hold. I applied it to the top portion from one side to the other. I spent about 100 bucks on mounting tape since the extreme comes in a roll half the size of outdoor version. Im is San Francisco so weathers not to bad. Where did you find your lip kit and how much was it if you dont mind me asking. I know i spent a long time looking for this kit then got super lucky and found the front lip with splitter on ebay used then about 8 months ago found the rears on ebay also.

    'Extreme' thanks! Would that be the VHB line of mounting tape?

    Purchased the set used, from Japan. All tabs intact, all hardware, but no instructions.

    Eventually will have them re-sprayed to Winter Grey Metallic, but may mock them up first in black.

    Mocked it up today. Will use the bottom locating tabs, then and tape along the top as you did. Thinking of using 1/2" 3M 4941 tape.

    Sounds good. Post pics when you get a chance. Had to google the 3m tape you mentioned but yes that is exactly what i used. I should have just ordered them online vs buying them at home Depot, could have saved alot now that i see how much it is and the amount you get. Oh well.

    Will do. First, off to cut away the top mounting flanges...

    One additional Q: Did you use the 3M type 94 primer/adherence promoter?

    Last Q: any idea what the JDM installation intends with the top row of locating tabs and white connectors? Is the JDM Prius alpha (ZVW40) bumper cut that much differently?

    Just alcohol wipes for a clean surface before mounting.
    The way these were designed are exactly the same as those lip kit on corolla and camry S. Slots are cut along the bupmers and clips go in, then the tabs connected to the lip insert and lock on. The jdm alpha and our v bumpers are exactly the same. With no templete on where to drill and cut for tabs, chances of it being misaligned would be like 99.9% for me and cuts irreversible.

    Reluctantly conclude I will not get around to painting or fitting these, nor fid I ever get around to trimming off the mounting tabs, thus they are available, along with the installation supplies procured along the line -- 3M VHB vehicle trim tape, denatured alcohol prep wipes, masking/line-up tape, Winter Grey Metallic spray paint.

    Overall have about $400 in the body kit and installation materials. Could be installed as originally intended, requiring cutting slots for tabs in the stock bumper covers, or could be installed with VHB tape and underbody mounting bolts/push-pins.

    To duplicate these would cost ~$800 plus shipping from Japan, "if new", plus any installation materials.

    Offers?
