Please add to questions: Does/do the map lights/dome-lights time out automatically (turn off) like the headlights? Been more than a few here that reported killing their 12VDC battery forgetting. Left mine on once for a couple of hours.
Toyota's set up is: Illuminated Entry (dome/personal light linked to doors) - 20 min timer Map light (that you manually turn on) - No timer Unless they start a corporate shift, it'll be the same set up in the Prius.
We need Toyota USA to tell us how they get EPA Cargo Space numbers. Gen2 and Gen3 they used to tell us the true ft-3 volume of different spaces, below tonneau, below floor etc. Now we just get EPA Cargo Space which is huge number...nice to know how they get it! My latest thinking, it must have to do with reclining seats and counting the total space behind font seats, below the window line or some such methodology.
This doesn't mean anything. The gen III prius was quieter than the "luxury" CT200h. Sound is notoriously hard to measure. You require special equipment and careful placing. I can assure you that decibel apps are worthless for measuring sound in any kind reproducible and comparable measure. Car and Driver magazine has dedicated sound meters and they still screw it up.
Every reviewer up to now had confirmed that the gen.4 is definitely quieter than gen. 3 so I guess I'll take their word for it ! The gen 3. is quieter than the CT 200h ? That's the first time I am reading this,in German Prius forum owners of CT 200h say the complete opposite !
same here. nothing quiet about gen III. have heard the lexus is quiet though, and already sacrificed some mpg's. toyota has been reluctant to add sound deadener to the prius in the past due to weight. sounds like they were willing to add some this time and give up some mpg's since they accomplished a nice increase.
is the new power flow screen in real time, or still a 3 second delay? does it show when the ice is turning, and when it is burning?
And the Toyota material posted in other threads says the 2015 clearance was 5.3 inches, 2016 is 5.1 inches--so the difference is 0.2 inches, or about 5mm.
How does it handle in strong gusty winds? My 04, 11, 12c and 14 all got blown around horribly - very hard to keep straight and centered in the lane.
Does anyone know the operating range of the Gen4 key fob? I dislike how close you have to be to the Gen III before the key fob works. GM and Ford have ultra long ranges for their key fobs. You can remote start their cars from what feels like a mile away. I can see my car from my office window but my fob does not have enough range.
