Visual Tables of Gen4 Package Combinations

I've used the rear wiper, very sporadically, but it seems on par with the fog lights, token, ineffective. Might be good for clearing snow tho. If we ever get any.

 

Geesh, for all the uglying up, you'd think it'd be more.

 

I have used the rear wiper quite often, especically when it is raining/humid. Using the wiper enables me to see the back better.

 

The rear wiper pushes the snow down on the spoiler, where it piles up. I have to remember to wipe it off once in the garage or it will either make a mess when it melts or just continue to pile up "next time" it snows.

 

Updating of the maps in the NAV system: is it easy to do? Hopefully they junked the previous system and are going with something more modern and update-able.

 

I like the New 17" Wheels, and also like the last gen 17" Wheels. I would be happy with either of them.

Long time lurker, owner of 2004 Gen2 nearing 100K miles, and would be Gen4 buyer here . FWIW, my dealer (Portland, OR) said that the ATP would cost ~$1935, with a MSRP of ~$29,000 for the Three+ATP (including the "destination charge"). On a related note, since the Three Touring already seems to include several features of the ATP, what does the ATP package add that trim (besides a moonroof)?

 

That's 6/4 per rim: 1.5 lbs. The 3rd generation 17" rim is around 24 lb. I know, I struggle with them every spring. Lightweight aftermarket rims start around 16 lbs. The 4th generation 17" rim approximates 3rd gen with the plastic inserts, and that's a fair volume carved out.

 

3T has

The 3 doesn't come with any of that. The ATP Package adds all of the above + Moonroof + HUD

 

you mean we use our own power to fold the mirrors? i call that manual.

 

Thanks...the extra 2K for just the Moonroof+HUD on the Three Touring seems a little inflated.

 

The 3T doesn't have a moonroof or HUD. They are not available on the 3T.

 

I missed the power folding mirrors on the tables... seem like we would have seen those demonstrated in some of the videos by now.

 

agreed, that's why it caught my eye. was hoping danny or someone with first hand knowledge would chime in.

and i thought, why power folding mirrors, but no signal mirrors?

 

My BMW had those, but if I remember correctly, I still had to push a button for them to fold up.

I would have 100% expected signal mirrors!

 

My dealer said that it's possible to add the MoonRoof+HUD to the 3T by choosing the ATP option for 1935 (sic). It's rather odd since the 3T already comes with a lot of safety features that are in the ATP, which means that only ATP addons would presumably be the Moonroof+HUD.

My guess is that he's confused, since the ATP doesn't make sense on the 3T.

 

otoh, most of toyotas packages are rather odd.

 

You'll likely learn more here that you would from almost any dealer. I doubt he even has correct pricing on the package, because I haven't seen that listed anywhere... I'm not saying I haven't missed it, but I've been trying to stay on top of things. If you read this entire press release, you'll have just about everything you need... If you scroll down the 3T list, you'll see that ATP is not an option. once again, the 3T Already includes:

+ Moonroof
+ HUD

The Stock 3 doesn't come with any of that stuff, so its possible that package is $1935 to the price of a 3
