    I wonder how the new Headlights perform and if the auto-high beam functions as it should .
    Wayne obviously had the chance to test them,ihope they at least are as good as the ones in the current model .
    Having two light sources on the current gen. 3 leads to a fantastic high beam performance !
    In fact I think it's the best highbeam I have ever seen so far !
    I hope only having one light source on gen. 4 won't change that !

    everyone's experience is different... my experience is that on my highways, I drive 160kmh in my Lexus... thats what my cc is set at and my average ends up being over 140kmh for 500km trip that I take 5-6 times per year at least. So yeah, I would appreciate if now at those speeds, Prius goes at 400rpm less which would happen due to max torque being moved 400rpm down the rpm range.

    For every other drive I take, Prius is already great, both in city and rural highways where top speed is 55mph and thst where new Prius will be perfect.

    In the end, subjective experience will win out and I might get new Prius if everything goes well on the test drive... so many things could go wrong, paper specs to me are already fine. Something as simple as seating position or interior quality might ruin everything, which happened on Avensis test where all was fine except for driving position and seats being worse than in Auris. Oh well, there is always 1yr IS300h possibility but it is missing a lot of tech right now, which I will overlook for nicer interior and sportier ride.

    I'm on the fence as I'm currently looking into the market of slightly used Lexuses from Germany. One one hand the new NX, GS, RX all can be had with panoramic view monitor, latest touch pad control, latest safety equipment and other upgrades since the IS300h was released. On the other hand I can get a 2012 GS450h for almost the same price as a 2014 300h. Depreciation has made car very interesting, but luckily the latest "long time test" by Autobild has taught me that there are some problems with German GS's which should be considered (rust and cost of maintenance)

    all that tech is older than one in Prius G4... especially safety tech, where Prius has nothing in Lexus that rivals it... facelifted GS and all new RX have slightly less advanced version of Prii's TSS P (without parking sensor interaction) but those are brand new.

    I had older GS, they are not expensive to maintain at all.. you should check German forums for rust issues, I dont remember anything on that.

    actually I think dual beam has been a weak point of Gen3. Low beam is too focused and cut off creates reduced visibility on secondary roads at night. High beam is fantastic, no question but on low you don't see deer until you are almost on top.

    I had the same problems with my low beams .
    It took 3 corrections at the dealer to solve the problem .
    I told the dealer that I don't won't to blind anyone,but what use is it having that modern tech if I can't see anything at night .
    I am quite pleased with them now and nobody up to now has ever complained being blinded by me .

    Looks like a Sony Xperia to me .
    Maybe the ground clearence is only as low as that on the E-Four model !?
    After all it is the E-Four in the picture .

    I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they had to reroute the exhaust lower on the E-four?

    Show cars are usually lowered... On the other hand, Toyota/Lexus usually raise ground clearance on AWD models and everyone complains about that.
