Less Than 500 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars Are In All Of Europe Today (250 Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell Vehicles)

Well, I suppose they have to start somewhere. For comparison to plug-ins, the next paragraph in the article:

I'm guessing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will need extremely large subsidization in order to be viable, considering the high cost of building out the infrastructure, the high cost of obtaining the fuel (or higher if you get it via electrolysis), and the high cost of the vehicle.

    naysayers and horse thieves!

how many in north america? the quantity today has no relationship to the quantity in 2100.

lol, there's the predictable rallying cry. Just you wait! The tech behind BEVs won't be standing still in the next 85 years either. ;) Incremental improvements are enough to make BEVs work for everybody. Significant technical breakthroughs are required to make hydrogen viable as a transport fuel.

I think its about 400 in north america today.
2100? I don't have a crystal ball but here goes my guess.

60% less than 10,000 fcv, with most in museums or garaged in private collections.
10% more than 15% of transportation
    30% somewhere between 10,000 and 15%
    What is your guess?
