as you can see in that document (which is for Japanese model BTW), there are choice of 3 steering wheel designs.

I don't know if North America will offer genuine leather. It seems like they're pushing SofTex so I think we'll only get 2/3 steering wheel options and 3/4 upholstery option (or maybe 2/4. I don't know if they'll offer the normal cloth on the Prius 2 or Eco or just the fleet version). I can't remember what the silver car in LV had. I'm guessing the normal cloth.

@Navigare , the link needs to be updated. They released a larger version (46.8MB vs. 31.5MB) and the link address has changed.

    [Tony: I got it]

Looks pretty impressive. I wonder what the price tag will be to get all of the safety features and automatic driving features.s

I'm not sure. I looked through both and didn't notice any large changes (like pictures added) that would account for the increase in size.

i kind of hope that we dont get it either in Europe... I would want high tech synthetic one that cools/warms depending on temperature (new materials from their pdf).

Anyone have any idea if Toyota is going to reveal any more numbers at the Tokyo auto show? Like pricing or US EPA estimates, etc.? If they are, any idea what day of the show?

I also wonder what a fully loaded liftback is going to cost. $45-50K?

I saw that picture first, and it looked like it had already been in a head-on accident

I'd like to have the option between SofTex and genuine leather. SofTex is essentially plastic but it's does have those thermal advantages (both for the seat and for the steering wheel like they mentioned).

Doubt it. Remember that the PiP will be building on that price of the Liftback.

And why would you think a loaded liftback will have a price increase of $10-$15k? There isn't that much new stuff worth $10k in the new Prius. (Remember that costs for some options have gone down since the Gen 3 was first launched)

Maybe they needed to increase the size to give it that sedan kind of look without having to compromise on interior space !?

That is if TM is interested in selling a PiP and not putting all of its might behind the FCV.

I'm not that familiar with what features a fully loaded liftback comes with and costs today. I bought the base PiP model and I usually buy just a step above the base model - wouldn't even spring for Nav on the liftback. But then I lost my mind last June and got a model S, so go figure.
