Today was a good day for our prius, 20% window tint and complete led interior along with led parking bulbs. This is the only pic I have, I'm sorry the car is dirty and it's hard to see the tint in this picture.
I plan on cleaning it up and taking some good pictures this weekend. I will also do a "build" thread to keep track of what I have done and plan to do.

 

What is the best window tint material / manufacturer to keep the heat out?

I am in no way a tint expert or claim to be, but I did some research before making the decision. I decided on 3M Color Stable 20% that offers a Lifetime warranty through any dealer that applies 3M products. I chose this for 3 reasons, 1) It wont turn purple 2) Lifetime warranty 3) Price . Total price was $245 including tax.

As far as what's best, according to my research Ceramic is a better quality with better heat rejection but through the company that installed my tint the price was literally double. At the end of the day we are very happy with the decision , on our daily commute the sun was always blaring on my son's face (almost 2 years old) so we knew we wanted the windows tinted.

 

I was happy TX recently lowered front legal tint percentage from 35 -> 25.

I just had my fronts done (3M) w 25%, 5% on the rest of the windows. $130 OTD.

I don't have much of an opportunity to park outside, so being cautious and waiting longer than I have in the past.

Hopefully this weekend or the next I'll have time to install coilovers, radio, rest of LEDs and shark fin antenna.

Should be getting wheels installed tomorrow!

 

$130 is super cheap, Makes me feel like I got ripped off lol

 

I could've gone with the generic brand for $69! lol (Better to pay more for quality upfront, IMO.)

Just depends on the market for tint where you live/go; it helped that this is the off-season (not summer), and I negotiated with them.

 

And me, fogs......

 

I got ceramic 35% done on everything but the front windshield for $150.
But I had to call around a ton until I found anything near that price. Most shops quoted me closer to $300

 

Yeah doesn't help that where I live everyone has money but me lol. Williamson County tax FTL

 

Just ordered my RWC wheels and nuts for winter tires today.

Ended up ordering an OPT7 55w 5000k HID kit. I was still leaning towards the OPT7 LED kit until I realized they're only offered in 6000k.

 

If it comes with a harness, use it to avoid any problems.
