Somebody else must be using the Chrome browser here.....any troubles?

Since Mozilla FireFox is having such issues with Adobe Flash, I had pretty much retired it for the time being and have been using Chrome, which seems to have fewer issues.

But logged in here for the first time with Chrome this morning and it was a jumbled mess...

Is there something I need to tweak in the Chrome settings.

And, yes, at the moment I am using FireFox here

    AAAKKK:

Now the small video ads to the left of the page are causing FireFox to go crazy. Earlier this afternoon, I could not connect with FF, IE or Chrome.

Now, I am here, using FF, but it "ain't pretty."

One of illustrious forum people, Mr. Wilson, said something about a text only browser awhile back. I am no computer person, but I am going to have to check into that. Maybe only use for the local newspaper's Web site (which is also troublesome) and PriusChat.

    Thanks for the responses!!!

Well, Chrome with Windoze 7 is working fine today...I also read a thread that I did not notice when I posted this one.

It's in the PriusChat Web site issue forum -- about Safari not working here and it seems lots of people are having lots of issues with lots of different browsers lately.

Well, despite it all, it is still worth dealing with the hassle to be able access the valuable information on this site!

As my dad said, before the web, he would have been down at the town library reference section going through the Chilton/Hayes/Motor manuals and then not finding the information he needed.

Chrome on XP, 7, 10, android, and iOS. No issues. Occasionally, I get overlapping text but that can almost always be traced to low bandwidth on my end or the server end. If it's on PC, then loading a few hours later is usually fine

Just to chime in: I've noticed quite a delay, when using an Iphone with Safari: to initially load the PriusChat page, upwards of 30 seconds, or sometimes stalls. Just in the last few days.

Still run XP on an old laptop, Don't use it much, but don't see any reason to change. Also, it works well for the MiniVCI.

I have had nothing but trouble with Firefox lately -- as some stated, it seems to be mostly on video-heavy pages.

But, Chrome also gave me issues, just not as many as FF.

Don't know why it would change anything, but my ISP just sent me a new modem and told me to replace the one I was using because they thought maybe the vacuum tubes in the old modem were close to failing :p

It seems that since this new modem -- which they tell me is something called solid state, nearly all troubles have disappeared -- again, I know little about all this stuff, and the new modem probably has nothing to do with the issues.
