Ty bud! I put some good work into these. Great rare find and they only weigh 15lbs forged and Made in Japan. Not the most aggressive fitment and wish it had polished lips, but I'll live with it hehe.

Got it from a priuschat member here. Sorry for the late reply life is just too busy these days. Didn't even have time to wash my prii. I even exceeded the recommended oil change interval and I need to schedule an oil change ASAP.
Plan has changed (hate to let go of her) and will be keeping the prii and mods will continue. Just ordered fatmat deadener at amazon will do some work done next next saturday.

 

Ok so last night I got the armrest cover. It's still black and kinda fuzzy, but at least if my ashy nice person elbows rub it thin I can just buy another one. From eBay made specifically for '12-'15 Prius (not the C or V)...


This morning I had my appointment at the good window tint place in town. Went with 15% sides and rear, but they were out of the 50% windshield tint so I have to go back when they get that in stock.

 

Do these tints really help keep the heat out?

I'm afraid if I get mine it would rather keep the heat in

Do you have bloodlines that go back to Transylvania per chance? A little sensitive to the sun, perhaps?

 

Tint looks good! I have 35% in the front and roll my windows down each time I see a cop. I don't think I could get away with 15% out here.

 

Yes, a very noticeable difference, but you need the windshield done as well to get the full effect.

Well, I've had the same % on my last 3 cars and have never been pulled over specifically for tint. Never been ticketed for tint. I even found out yesterday that most of the cops in town have the same % and their windshields done because the place I went has an "agreement" with the city.

I got pulled for speeding in my wife's car (same tint % and windshield) two February's ago on I-75 in Ooltewah TN (between Cleveland and Chattanooga) and the guy wrote a ticket for 13 over and never mentioned the tint.

Basically, in Cleveland and Chattanooga if you don't speed excessively and done't drive like knob end they don't really care.

Sometimes small town life is a little better

There are a couple of smaller towns north of me (pop. 490 in one and 650 in the other) that will pull you over and ticket you for tint alone, since they don't have anything better to do, so I just stay out of those towns.

 

Cleaned the centercaps (also made in Japan...woohoo!) After working on these wheels on and off for a month I'm Going to try and get these mount and balanced before work today.

Tires: Lightly used LRR Toyo Proxes A20 215/45/17 from another fellow Prius chat member. These are the tires used on the OEM V trim alloys.

@Ramtart Looks good! Any plans for bumping out the rear a little with a spacer? If you have any issues with rubbing going over bumps let me know, I have a fender roller in the garage

 

Looks great! I like those a lot more than the previous wheels you had. Hopefully they hold up and all that effort you put into restoring them isn't wasted.

I had a set of BBS RCs on my old VW GLI (they were the OEM wheels that came with the car). I regret not swapping them out with steelies or something before selling the car.
