This BBS wheel project is taking forever, but I think I'm finally going to test paint 1 of the wheels tomorrow on my day off.

Here are some pics of the bondo work on the road rash and some gashes on the wheels. These wheels have been through a lot. They look a lot better now after a thorough sanding, cleaning and repair. Keep you guys posted!

I'm worried all your hard work isn't going to hold up. Wheel repair like you are doing is normally filled in with metal, like brazing? In your case, maybe even something like epoxy putty or JB Weld would be more durable than the plastic body filler you are using?

These HTS-2000 brazing rods are available on ebay:

Hey bud, thanks for your concern and advice! I searched a lot about rash repair and read multiple forums. I used bondo spot and glazing putty for metal. A lot of the damage was multiple mini rashes (nothing super deep).

Everything is smoothed out now. I'll update you guys with a pic of 1 painted wheel when it's done.

    Wheel #1 in progress...

I'm using Duplicolor Hyper Silver color wheel paint and clear coat.

    Before painting.

After 3 light coats. I will let this dry, pick up my son from school and apply a few coats of clear coat and report back later. Looks way better than before. Not bad for rattle can wheel paint!

Finally got around to putting on my wheels, still need to roll and pull the fenders so the car can't sit all the way down yet but still doesn't look too bad... Rear wiper delete and Gs headlights are going on tomorrow

They're available for purchase. Brothers of the PriusChat get first pick!
    Otherwise they're going on Craigslist.

... yes, a wee bit of curb rash. If you ever used the back exit at Costco on Fletcher, you know the curb.

Nothing amazing or impressive, but I installed the interior LED lights and the license plate lights this evening.
The interior is a lot brighter, but those license plate lights and CRAZY bright!

Did your car already have the LED rocker panels?

Yes, and honestly I didn't even notice until after I bought the car and it got dark. I like it though, and my 4yo daughter loves them.

Well, IDK about 3 grand. My short list includes tint (5% rear, 20% sides, and 50% windshield - cops around here don't care if you don't speed excessively and drive like a knob end), covering the blue background behind the Toyota emblems with CF vinyl wrap, MAYBE blacking out the other emblems (since I can't just take them off without leaving body holes ), some kind of low beam headlight upgrade, and I suddenly really want a set of TRD lowering springs. So like around $500 to $600.

This is a daily driver so I don't plan to completely trick it out, just make it look a little better and increase functionality somewhat.

And of course the TRD sway bar goes well with the TRD springs.
Have you considered the auto-folding mirrors? That's definitely one of my favorite updrades. Just sayin' ...
