Most of us got the invitation because we're upstanding, respectable, intelligent individuals.

    Paradox slipped through somehow.

Well Chicago to Vegas is a heavily traveled route, should be easy to get airfair.

Not unless they pull a Volt revealing with no cameras allowed.

How would that be a "revealing" with no cameras? GM messing with English!

We've already been told that cameras will be allowed. My only concern is whether there will be a black-out period. For example, until the Frankfurt Auto Show.

Might they make all sign NDAs in Vegas? If not, wouldn't pics be posted up quickly?

I think you and I are running around the same tree here. That's exactly what I'm saying. This is not the first time we've attended a meeting or event. Not our first rodeo. We are very familiar with NDAs, blackout periods, and camera-free zones. That's exactly why I'm bringing it up. Our goal will be to post pictures and personal impressions as soon as we possibly can. I'm simply trying to set the level of expectations that it is possible we might be under a gag order when we return.

I should also establish the realization that we'll be in Vegas. The bar-to-car ratio is extremely high. If we are allowed to post immediately following the event, the posts might become increasingly incoherent as the night progresses. That might actually be a bonus.

judging by what we've seen so far, you might want to start drinking before the show. works for football.

    Sheesh, what a tough crowd!

-I- like the car no matter what it looks like. I think the photos seen so far are "interesting". I await with anticipation to see the level of technology.

Hey, I also drive an FJ Cruiser! Now -that's- a quirkly styled vehicle. So you can see where I'm coming from. I gave up on the knock out looks vehicles. They tend to attract the wrong kind of attention. Like my 3rd gen RX-7, in "I'M OVER HERE OFFICER yellow". ;)

I think FJ Cruiser is really cool, classic, just as the Jeep Wangler.

FJ Cruiser? That is a icon of a design and in no way quirky! They designed it with keeping the look of the 1970's FJ Cruiser. If you hold on to it, in 40 years it too will see the high prices ($70,000 plus) that 1970's cruisers are selling for today. Sorry that Toyota has discontinued sales in the US.

There is a serious lack of competition in this space, I really hope that changes in the future. Until then Toyota will continue to do very polarising designs.

If they allow you to take and post some good interior photos in Vegas, that would be great.

Anyone remember whether there were multiple Gen3 reveal events within a short space of time?

Just can't see the reasoning for it. After Vegas, it will be all over the web anyway so why repeat at another show the following week?

That would make more sense if they are two different cars, can that be the case? I am sure someone here should know something, I mean is the Plugin getting a preview or just the regular Gen4?
