Cheap Front Splitter / Lip

Sure beats lawn edging from home depot that a surprising number of people use.

 

Only have two of the EZ lips and can't decide what to do. Should I use them both to make my side skirts look lower or just replace my front lip and use the other to put on my dads' 2013 Prius front lip?

 

Sezy, if it's not too late, I say if you like your dad, put it on his Prius -- 'cause dad's Prius deserves to look good too. Otherwise keep it for yourself!

 

Actually he doesn't like the look and no longer wants to put it on.

Roll the strip out.




Start lining it up, peel back the tape and position. I used a heat gun to heat the adhesive as I would pull the tape back then stick it on then hold with pressure. Must say alot easier than the home made kind and better looking.

At the front and back I used a screw and large washer for extra hold. Incase it were to fall out I dabbed it in silicone and then covered in gorilla tape.





I'll take more pics when the sun comes back out.



Thinking I need a front one to match now.





After putting tire shine on the lip

 

Decided to paint my sides. So far so good .

 

Updates....
Side skirts became yellow and saggy in some spots so repaint and glue was needed but still holding up.


Front lip was painted white for like a year.



Front black paint needed a touch up this summer so went all the way down onto the lip with it.

 

Had some left over lip material sitting around so cut into little "fins". Attached with the doublesided tape and two screws on each.


Was tired of just having two so added 4 more.


Looked aggressive in person but not noticeable in most pics or shade.


Painted to match. MPG has gone up like 0.4 gain but the temperature is dropping and I just replaced my serpentine belt so those could be the true factors.
