Just noticed @Dawit sold his car. Clean. Not much to do to it. All upgraded. Lucky buyer. Who is the new owner?

Blacked out rooftop or steering wheel upgrade. ...... hmmmmmm.(n)

Shark fin antenna and roof spoiler will have to be removed and repainted.... (alot of work)...

or steering wheel upgrade.... having to sell the steering wheel and a realignment of the wheel. Decisions decisions....o_O

Maybe keep as is and no work involved.:D

Really just a thought. . But if I was to do the next upgrade it would be these two.. if it wasn't for the shark fin and the roof spoiler, I probably would have already blacked out my roof.

isn't your persona has the special red stitch and dark finished steering wheel? why change it! I do not want to touch or deal with air bag removal, just my gut feeling what if it doesn't deploy in case of something happen!

No red stitching but definitely a dark finish. Not sure if it's leather or pleather (fake leather )

Wasn't really too hot on the GT86 wheels until now. Helped my cousin paint his brake calipers today and told me he'll give me his stock wheels when he buys his new ones. Starting to consider it. I was gonna paint my calipers too but ran out of time.

    G's HID adjustment.

    before-n-after-adjustment.png

These JDM headlights are designed to have a spread that sweeps up to the left, rather than to the right as they should be on US roads.
I fiddled with it a bit before but I wasn't having any luck. Turns out I was fiddling with the wrong adjustment. I overlooked the lower adjustment screw.

You need an extra long phillips head to get in there.

the G's headlight are set for RHD drive cars, that's why the left headlight aim higher since cars in Japan drive on the opposite lane vs U.S freeway, I hope yours did not have glare to the oncoming traffic, the screw that has a gray housing is the auto leveling headlight adjustment.

Yes, unlike the US spec halogen & LED headlights with 1 adjustment, the JDM G headlights have 4 adjustments. 2 for the low beam & 2 for the high beam.

Glad u got it figured out. It beam pattern still needs a lil tweaking.

LOL I feel like we'll have green and red WGM twins if I continue down this path.

It's my understanding that the beam pattern will never be just right without changing the cutoff plates. Do you suppose that's something that could be fabricated?

    I meant the alignment.

It's ur alignment I'm referring to. Both headlights should be aimed at the same height & where the merge into 1 when at a certain distance like mine in this pic.

As for the cutoff......there isn't much u can do as these projectors have the cutoff shield molded into the front portion of the projector it's self. U can sand it down & reshape it with a LHD step. Other option is to retrofit another projector in there.

I know you and I have discussed this before. I would like to understand the anatomy of this headlight better.
This is the only illustrated parts break-down that I've seen:
The molded projector molding that includes the cutoff plate must be integrated with the inner housing assembly itself.

Installed the most expensive license plate frame on the Prii this morning (some perks when you donate to the California Highway Patrol Foundation). image.jpg

Had rear fenders rolled yesterday in preparation for coilovers.
