This thread was wild from start to finish. I just had to take an anxiety pill. Glad you stuck with the Prius in the end. They are very cost effective vehicles. Andrew Grant, taxi driver in Canada was the first taxi driver to use a Prius back in 2001 I believe. This is his testimonial. I look forward to hearing more about your adventures in your advanced-tech Prius v! Thanks for sharing!!
Ok since u asked I appreciate the coment. 88500 everything is good. Car came with xm/sirius. Very helpful for my driving. no repairs. oil change every 10000 2 air filters, 3 cabin filters. that's all.
Every 2 oil changes I check if dirty I replace, do not smoke. I'm on my 3rd Iin another 20,000 I will check again. Other than that I dont know what to say. however I do believe the vent is on all the time even with ac off. I fill a slight breeze all the time.
Even recirculate mode allows outside air and dirt. It is possible to remove and vacuum them off in many cases.
Sounds about right the cabin filters last less than engine. 20k. We've gone to washable K&N, better flow and cheaper on long run.
I just bought my V and it only has 328 miles, you mean to tell me I got wait 300k miles before I can join the club?
I'm wondering if you ever had a check engine light on during all that mileage you put on if yes I would like to know what codes did you read ? Thanks
Glad 2Fas got out of this pretty gracefully, the thread (addicting as it is), could certainly have gotten far worse. I'd have to say that looking at new/used prices, they should have given some free lube to the buyer of the old v.
2fas, I haven't seen you updating your mileages for a while now. You must have 160K+ miles on your 2nd v by now? -jlim888
Ok just for u. 180,000 Missed u guys, still here same job, same old song. No problems to report, other than regular maintenance. Replaced atf ws at 175000 no problems. Take that back cannot get into apps on radio, cannot access to change speaker position an no bluetooth, however I can access bluetooth By the steering wheel only for youtube and pandora but no phone access other than that every thing is good.
Continental True contact 205 60 16 Getting installed as I write. Choice was between true contact and michelin defender with 90000 miles on both. Total price 495.00 with 2 yr warranty. Keep u guys updated.
Update: not happy with these continentals. Mileage is defenitely below 44 after 5 days of driving, over 2000 miles. Nail in coffin reset after getting gas on highway, after a 100 + miles avg 41.2.
