    Unfortunately its all a question of Supply and demand. If legislators wanted more housing built it could be done. Anywhere. The entrepreneurs simply want a fair incentive. They dont want to risk their $$ in what looks like a war zone in the Bronx. Not picking on the Bronx, there are areas similar all over the US.Workers cannot find decent housing for 10 or even &15/ Hr. Altho $15 would be a start. No money, no housing, no food...........Tough! Most politicians dont give a damn, they are lifing all right. And the more the population grows, the worse things get. At this rate, we are Doomed. We have seen Detroit, riots in LA, whats next?

    Yep, she's a sweet Model S 70D. But I'm still trying to get used to the steering wheel stalks on her. I'm sure I'll finally get the turn signal instead of the cruise control. :)

    And I'm still gonna stick around priuschat, so I'm not really leaving. After all, Danny even has a Tesla forum. :)

    yeah i have to say Toyota has some of the most intuitive stalk controls in the world. i kind of wish everyone would copy them.

    MB (which I think is very similar if not identical to Tesla) puts all the stalks on the left side – a clear influence of manual transmission driving – which ends up overloading every stalk with a million functions.

    "industrial psychologist" - the fine folks who decide where various controls & displays ought to be put - in order for the average ordinary purchaser to find them where they will look first look to find them. An amateur radio buddy of mine did that @ GM for 25yrs. Retired just prior to their bankruptcy. Ok yes - it's off topic - but an intriguing field.

    I don't think the Cruise Control stalk controls on my 2001 Prius are as intuitive as those on my 2012 MB Sprinter. I've never driven a more intuitive CC than the on on my Sprinter. There is no on switch, it's always ready. Move lever up or down to set speed. Push level forward to disengage. Pull lever back to Resume. Once set you can adjust speed by pushing lever up to increase or down to reduce speed set.

    i think i had a mercedes with one stalk that controlled all the stalks. it cost a gazillion dollars to replace.

    yes - back in the day our E300 stalk lost cruise control function. Price was so high we decided no cc was better than forking up the big money

    Germans use make quality cars, today, they have fallen severely in reliability.

    I use have a BMW when I was a kid and "drove it like I stole it!" I use to beat the car as if I was a race car driver. Reached the rev limiter several times and reached the speed limiter (135 mph?).

    Only thing that need replacement was a battery, water pump, and that was it from 130,000ish miles of abuse.

    Today, these German cars are always in the shop or broken down on the side of the road.

    If you don't baby these German cars or spend tons of money on maintenance, I would get rid of it after the warranty expires.

    ... And I still drive German ... Haha ... That will change when I find a Prius... If not, I will be getting an Audi !

    I know, I want the punishment!

    I've got a Sprinter that has 200k on it and it's been very reliable. I don't baby it at all.

    Diesel, right? Yes - you keep up the diesel maintenance & it better dam well out perform most gassers. But you pay more for initial outlay & for maintenance in most cases. I've done my own injectors in white diesels ... & that saves a boat load of cash. But for the average slob, you will definitely pay for the cost of keeping the thing running for 100's of thousands of miles. Just saying - it's somewhat of a trade off
