can the lifters be adjusted or shimmed up I have a 07 Prius with 189k & a nosiey lifter or valve noise?
Prius engine has solid lifters. Valve clearance can be adjusted by changing the lifter(s) which requires the removal of camshaft(s). Are you sure the noise is from valve train?
not sure yet, it only makes noise when idling with no load on it, I read on the forum that can disable each coil to make sure which one it is in top end car runs good just bought at auction for a good price no lites every thing works looks like oil was just changed too.
