I have terrible AM reception. I replaced the OEM one with that short Dodge one, and that helps a little. It's still not very good. Does anyone know of an antenna that will fit in there that is longer than the OEM one?

I think the car produces some sort of field that screws with the AM reception. I've tried bringing a little transistor radio that otherwise works well inside the car -- and when inside it also functions poorly.

It maybe the wiring from the antenna base to the head unit, or it may be the amplifier in the base of the antenna mount is defective.

Hmm. So switching out the antenna mount may be a good start...

Well, what do you think I should do? Check the connection first?
