Here is our little collection of 2010 Prii. We have 3 teenagers and they each have a Prius! The silver was originally bought new and was driven by my husband with the intention of giving to my eldest daughter who is now 19. The other 2 were purchased used because we ended up loving our Prius so much. The blue one is my 18 year old sons and the white one my 16 year old daughters! Their friends do make fun of us for having so many Prius! I'm hoping to get the new Prius this fall, but my husband wants a BMW instead! Thanks for looking and love this forum!
You got the prii bug. It spreads when contaminated. Hehehe. Love those priuses. I bought my wife a CT200h and way better that a prius. Maybe your husband will change his mind when he test drive it.
Yes, it is contagious! I would like to add a red 2010 Prius V so we can have a II, III, IV and V! I drive a Honda Odyssey now, but would love to have another used Prius for around town driving! The reason husband wants BMW is because he wants a hardtop convertible! I'm still trying to change his mind as it is not needed! lol
BMW are nice but they are not what they used to be, in the 90's. Now they are over priced, and unreliable.....don't do it. Get a Lexus if he wants a sports car.
I'll show him these, b Very nice! I'll show him, but he is doing well to replace the headlight when it went out! lol! Probably not mechanically inclined enough to do any mods!
Just bought this Prius day (07-17-2015)before yesterday. 2011 with 31k miles!!! It's absolutely loaded and couldn't be happier
"Lovely Jubbly June" bought her in May, she arrived from AZ in June. 2012 PIP Advanced with 32000 miles. I drive and park in SF a lot so I added Bumpshox and BumpTek HD to protect the bumpers from bad parkers around the city. Also added the Toyota bumper protector to fend off my own clumsiness.
Just bought my pristine 06 Prius (package 8, loaded with every option) this week from a private seller.... beat out 30 other buyers/multiple offers and still came out ahead, it's insane. So far so great! I've been getting 50-57mpg. Question - can the trip computer display "remaining range"?? Cheers, Wolfy Torrance, CA
Congratulations! As for the remaining range, apparently not from what I've read around here. You can probably pick up a third party gauge like a Scangauge to do it but it might not be particularly accurate. We are in California; our cars are fitted with a flexible bladder for fuel. It is susceptible to variances due to temperature so it won't fill to the same total quantity every time. One time you might start with 11.5 gallons, the next fill it might only fill to 10. Easiest thing to do is just fill it when it reaches one or two bars left on the fuel gauge. Then you have a lot of miles of leeway left in the tank instead of taking a chance on running it to empty.
Thanks, I didn't think so either, given the wildly different mpg's depending on how people drive their Prii. The seller showed me her Info Gauge and she was only getting 39mpg. I credit my high mpg to my learning how to 'pulse & glide' while trying not to hold up the traffic :^) On my very first fill-up (after the last fuel bar had been blinking for about 10-15 miles), I was surprised to get only about 8.5 gallons. So I guess my next question is -- how many miles can I safely drive the car until I completely run out of gas? And would the blinking bar turn orange or red when that happens??
Someone else will have to answer that one. We've only had our Prius a little over a month and we just fill it up when it hits either three or two bars. I've always been conservative about filling up my fuel tanks. I've been driving 45 years and have never run out of gas. I take the attitude that it's going to need the gas anyway so why add stress and worry to my driving?
Its been awhile since I had my gen2, but I can tell u that in my gen3, the farthest I've pushed it once the last bar started flashing was 55miles. As for it turning red or orange......it won't. Just flashes grn VS980 4G ?
