I agree. Not worth with the EV miles. those pictures aren't the real one. Wait until the anouncement this fall.
Still the current gen would give me a great price vs the new gen. I forgot to add that I owe $13K on the 4Runner and buying the Prius would mean I would only owe $2k-$3k plus the fuel savings. I could take the savings and buy snow tires. Thoughts? I really am not going to take a big hit on my 4Runner since it's still new. S
You should verify all these numbers with a DEALER before you start getting ahead of yourself. Get the 4runner appraised for trade in and the price of the car you want to buy...... And don't look so excited about getting into a Prius or you'll get $20k for the 4runner
I would expect the trade-in value for a 4Runner is $28k which is ballpark out the door price for a 2015 Prius 3. If I am right, your cost stays the same but the dealer will say your monthly payment drops by $100 because your 5 year payment resets.
I know I'll get the trade in amount because I already had another local dealer appraise my 4Runner. So I can just sell it to them if anything. Back to the figures. I owe $13k. I was given a truecar price which this dealer will honor at $19,700. I can get at least $32k minus $19,700 for the Prius plus taxes.....and that is close to what I owe now. That can only mean 1 thing. I will owe $1,500-$2k tops in the end plus al the gas savings. I don't step foot into a dealer until I get my price. I didn't even tell them I had a trade in yet. S
Pls go to a few Toyota dealerships and confirm those trade in numbers though, and make sure they don't skew those numbers by way of jacking up trade in value and also jacking up the sale price of the new Prius an not giving you a good deal on the new car... The current game is to give less than POOR condition value from kbb which equates to auction pricing, and yes this is even for "new" used cars. I traded out of my 2014 Charger RT Plus, with some custom work (won 1st place at a car show) and was still disgusted with trade value... But am happy now getting 30 mpg more now and a lower payment. lol.
I was already quoted a very good amount from another dealer so I'll see what this another says. If it didn't work I always have the first one to fall back on. Do I really need to get rid of my 4Runner? No it has better resale value and it's much better in the snow. In the long run I will enjoy huge gas savings and a car ice always wanted. The 4Runner was a purchase I made because I thought I wood be using it for another purpose, but has since changed. S
At those numbers, I would absolutely get the Prius. The trade in seems too high and the Prius seems too low but if you manage to pull it off, great job!
^^^^ what he said. The trade in seems very high, and if they honor that and give you a good deal on the new Prius then it is a great deal. Just make sure they don't sell you the Prius at Msrp which would negate the entire high trade value of your 4Runner.
Not at all. The sales manager emailed me that he confirms the price from truecar.com I sent is the price they agree with. S
Well that's good news What about the sale price on the new car? Are they hooking you up with a nice discount too?
Sounds like a plan then brother. Your getting out of the gas guzzler pretty much scot free (amazingly) and rolling into an uber reliable gas sipper.
Bingo. I'll check back when I get it in the next few weeks. iPhone ? Should I go after the Persona since it has Softex? How is the cloth seats quality over time? What color interior do you have on yours? Any pics? iPhone ?
I had a 2013 model three with the grey cloth seats.... It didn't show dirt hardly at all... I really do like the softex though. It cleans so easily and doesn't get hot or cold like real leather. A great compromise. I just remembered that my wife's Prius v has the Bisque (light colored) interior and as scared as I was to get that light color it really has not been too bad to keep clean.... I personally like darker interiors though. The Persona appealed to me due to the fact that it is speced between a three and a four and that it had softex, side view mirror indicators, the interior blue lights, the nice gunmetal 17" rims, Nav, xm, Entune, etc...
