I feel like the hens just asked the fox over to dinner
    :D
Ok yes - I signed up months ago just as a goof, to see if I would be within range of the refueling station ... but wow ... should I register? Yum! Maybe they'll serve me my very favorite beverage ... Kool-aid !!!

Absolutely, I would go. I went to the Tesla factory tour last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself. No idea why they thought I could afford a model S but I took the free lunch and test drive anyway. Can I still sign up?

I wish I could, & I already thought of that. I know he'd get a hoot out of it. We met a couple times, different events. He'd never pass for me, if they asked to see a driver's license.
    :)

Yup. I would never turn down the opportunity to try new cars. It expands my knowledge base and understanding of the vehicle.

Hill I wouldn't waste my time, but ...it might be fun to see the other drivers and see if toyota people actually understand the beast. It would be great if you could test the prius phv and mairi back to back and compare both to your leaf.

I'd love to see some full sized lard arse in that thing. Would it tip over? stall?

That 'vehicle' is just not going to happen lol.

If it was priced right, it would sell. There are others working on the same idea. It would sell better in Europe as you folks enjoy small cars more then Americans. Also, it would be hard to classify it in the USA as a car, it would more than likely be classified as a motorcycle. Now if the original Mini can fit large people and not tip over, I am sure that this vehicle will do fine! ;)

Behind the wheel of Toyota's futuristic iRoad

lol. I see a lot less problems for the iroad than the mirai. Too fat or too tall, get another vehicle. 3 wheel design means it doesn't need to follow expensive safety requirements, and it looks fun to drive. I could see a lot of students at the universities in congested cities wanting one. I already see a lot of electric scooters now. Key will be to make it cheap enough and safe enough while keeping it fun to drive. Add a car share membership for longer trips, and it may work, not in high volume but higher than fcv.

if it's anything like the gen III test drive i took, it's a complete dog and pony show with swag. college kids hired for the summer who are completely clueless, and a two minute 5 mph drive around the perimeter of a parking lot.

About 10 years ago, GM and Lexus would put on driving events. The GM and Lexus events were great, they served great food and had tents up show casing their companies. The driving courses set up for several different models was great. It was like driving on a track course. I wish they would do these types of events again.

Some events are better than others. Go for the experience. The 30 minute test drive is longer than Tesla's. I'd like a report on the controls that set a new benchmark. If you get fed or come home with swag that's a bonus.

Toyota needs to change their marketing. "Hydrogen is everywhere from plants to the water in our lakes and ocean." The pix we see seem to show that your lakes are drying up and your plants are dying. Might want to ask Toyota how much it costs to make water out of hydrogen.

I'd go without hesitation if it were in my region of the country.
I'd seriously consider driving out to California if that were the only location.
