Point taken, but most of those renderings were unveiled nearly a year before the vehicle launch. We're at what now, 6 months away? Just grasping for anything solid...

The NX 300h is rated 33mpg combined and manages 35mpg city. The hybrid Rav4 will likely do a little better, if it stays smaller and lighter than the NX. It isn't getting anything that the Prius v doesn't have in terms of efficiency improvements, and has a larger ICE. So 35mpg combined is what it will likely get.

Right you are if production begins in December, only ~5 months, all the more reason for information desperation. ;)

This might be an official leak from Toyota, to see what the public thinks of the 2 designs.........then go with the more popular choice.

I think the blacked out one looks more suited to a front license plate.

    Sorry for the downer tho.

The colours are (translated into English). The equivalent USA colour names are in brackets.

    Bordeaux Mica Metallic
    Light Purple Mica
    Forest Green Mica
Silver Metallic (Looks darker than Classic Silver. So perhaps Millennium Silver or Titanium Silver)
    Black (Black.. colour code 202)
    Red Mica Metallic (Barcelona Red)
    Dark Violet Mica Metallic
White Pearl Crystal Shine (Blizzard Pearl)
Super White II (Super White or Alpine White depending if you're in Canada or in the US)

Bordeaux is possibly a new colour (although it does look close to Black Cherry Pearl), Light Purple probably won't make it across the border and looks to be a new colour (lighter than Ice Amethyst and Iceberg Silver), Forest Green looks new (unless it's Summer Rain Metallic), Dark Violet actually looks like the 2014+ Corolla's Slate Metallic but without colour codes, these are just my conjectures.

I was surprised to see the Hybrid RAV4 on the Toyota Canada site (as a coming soon thing). It might be interesting, EXCEPT, it is no longer a "small SUV". It's HUGE. Just look at the weight of the thing. Over two metric tonnes! My Pathfinder weighted that much. Good luck getting high mileage in that thing! (OMG, it's coming this way!! ;) )

Interesting.... if you follow the trail of links (since Indian Autos Blog got the information from a Japanese site), the article was first published in January and updated in June of this year. It says the reveal is at the Tokyo Auto Show w/ launch in December priced at 2,400,000 yen. I'm pretty sure that's speculation as TMC would not release pricing a year in advance.

Here's the paragraph for those who can read.

What? It weighs from 1,545kg to 1,620kg, that's less than two tonnes.

I'm definitely preferring the structure of the spy vehicle at the moment but can't help to think how similar it is to Gen 3.

Looks like the base wheels are still alloys w/ wheel covers (look at the silver alloys underneath the blacked out wheel covers). The upsize 5-spoke alloys look interesting. Much sportier than the current 17" alloys.

And wow that's a low nose! Look at the Toyota logo in relation to the wheel well, then go outside and look at your Prius' Toyota logo in relation to the wheel well. It's basically where the top of your front licence plate is on the Gen 3. Hopefully this means the CdxA is reduced which would lead to better aerodynamics for highway driving.

it will most likely be about the same as gen II to III. similar shape, with appearance changes to freshen it up. if you look at gen II, it looks dated, but gen III still looks modern.
