Congratulations, FlyNLow, on your new Prius. It's good that you picked it up on Earthday. As for turning into an enviromentalist and needing help, we all have to live on this ball of dirt and water. There's no effective escape, it's a closed system. Might as well do as little damage as you can manage.
I agree with Bill Merchant. We do live in a closed system. Astronauts always comment, when looking at the Earth from space, about the Earth's atmosphere or thin blue line as they call it. My Prius is due in anyday now and I was hoping that it would have arrived yesterday for Earth Day! Congrats on your new car on Earth Day. I'm jealous of your car and its arrival on Earth Day
Everyday is Earth Day when you drive a Prius. As for becoming an enviromentalist, it's like so many now being a geek/nerd... since they carry electronic devices they've grown dependent on. That's what the 21st Century is all about, unlike the Priustoric times. .
Sorry guys, closed system? Someone forget the sun? Still car free @ 36 (pro-environment). I might pick up a Prius (having a baby) next year (anti-environment on both).
