Another thought I had... I've got the aftermarket Bluetooth Blu-logic phone adapter installed. I wonder how this interfaces to the radio, if at all? Will I have Bluetooth from both?

It should take about 45 minutes to take out the old radio and install the new headunit. It's practically plug and play. It took me more time because I had the dashcam and microphone to mount. I cut my fingers pretty deep a few times removing the dash panels and routing wires behind the headliner to hide them so be careful! Do not run your fingers quickly across the edge of the rear headliner when trying to hide a wire, it will cut you like a friggin samurai.

If you're installing a reverse camera, keep in mind you have to route a power wire (hooked up to reverse light) alongside the yellow video cable to the headunit so it can activate when the car is thrown in reverse. The headunit harnesses are nicely labeled for everything.

 

I have noticed that the gets garbled overtime especially when you use wifi and bluetooth at the same time.

 

Loving the look of this, but I have a few questions for those of you in the know:

1. If I set my phone to Tethering, I can use Google Maps on this head unit, correct?
2. If so, what GPS device does Google Maps use – the head unit's antenna, or the phone's?
3. Still only black not the actual color of the car dash?
4. I have a 2014 Prius Five Advanced Tech Package with JBL. Is there a clear answer to what cables I need, without my pulling the dash apart before I'm ready, to send him a photo?
5. Is there a way to use the OEM backup camera if I step down the voltage to from 12V to 6V?

Separately, regarding price, this unit is $745.28 on Ali but the ones on eBay are just over half that price. Is there a big difference with those?

I use waze for my navigation. I noticed that with no wifi connection it uses the gps onboard sensor. I'm still trying to figure out where to tap the reverse trigger wire. If anyone is able to figure it out please don't hesitate to post here.

With jbl then you need canbus Ibelieve that i was told by chen

 

I tried that route and tapped to the reverse light but it didn't work so I decided go use the rear wiper 12v source for the backup cam.

 

That sucks for the members that are willing to spend with the discounted price. For me spending $700 for this unit is not worth it. I think $300 is fair enough.

 

I just saw it for $320.47+ship in the DK Auto store on aliexpress. I think there is a link where it has it for $700 but there is another where it is $320. I think the $700+ price is just a mistake. I'd post the link, but tablet acting weird.
