You're right, quality leather and custom stitching will definitely last longer and save money. Possibly white leather with black stitching of black leather with white stitching. Definitely something to think about. @sfv41901

Hand wash -- after 6:00 PM, of course, according to the law.

Someone around here wrote, "If you don't turn around to look at your car at least three times, you've got the wrong car."
Today when I got to the office I just walked backwards so that I could just keep my gaze affixed to the G's-ness.

Haha i hear ya! So the rest of your front end pieces like the grill and fog lights and fog light bezels u got piece by piece off buyee as well? I bet a cf hood and that front end would look silly huh since the cf hood dont have the lil hump that the front end has! Dont ya think?

I ended up regretting the piece-by-piece approach. Some of the minor parts just never (or very rarely) appear individually, such as the tow-hole cover, and the garnish panels. When I finally saw the honeycomb grill show up I way over bid on it so that I could be sure no one else would snatch it. Then some stuff I got extras when I'd win an auction for a batch of misc parts. Then I got impatient and I paid dealer+int'l shipping prices from japancars.ru to get all the last detail parts.

As for carbon fiber... not this year. With a few exceptions, I'm keeping the theme stock G's, for now. Maybe next year I'll be looking into lambo door kits. :)

motorsport-tech.com did an amazing job on these custom spacers with centric rings! I couldn't be happier. I should have gone with 5mm in the rear, but whatevs :D (3mm spacer w/56.1 Center)

they fit like a glove. Nice and snug :ROFLMAO:

took off some CF and plasti-dip to expose some stock chrome to match wheels.

and over break, really thought about dipping the wheels.. but decided against it. here are some pics I found and 1 edited for green.

thought of some other ideas too...

So it would be best for one to go this route IF they wanted to spend the $$$??

If I were going back to do it again, this is exactly the route that I'd go. This would probably be cheaper and definitely less time consuming than the route I went.

Alternatively, the middle ground would be finding a deal like this ...
    upload_2015-6-26_20-36-27.png

    upload_2015-6-26_20-37-17.png
... where all the parts are intact.

This would probably just need some cosmetic touch-up work at the body shop.

Finally got around to installing the FIAMM horns.

    image.jpg image.jpg

I'm enjoying the bigger bark. Tried to follow the DIY instructions here but found it too difficult to crank the mounting bolts. It was my first time removing the front bumper, but it brought some good knowledge for future mods and definitely made the horn install a lot easier.
