just got 5% tint all around with a brow on the windsheild. Bought this car used with 80k miles and im loving it!! My old car was a seven series BMW and i thought i would miss it but they each exceed in their separate classes of luxury and efficiency.
Just a quick pic at the lot before I picked it up. Since then, new Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires all the way around, nice dark tint, replaced the plastic center caps which were missing, a rear bumper protector and a few other things. Will post up updated pics soon.
LOL Yeah, you can tell right away with the overgrown trees over the tracks that this is not an active track.
I got a set of plastic ones from Ebay; set of 4 with the Toyota emblem at just $20.00 and that included shipping! I have black rims so I just painted the chrome plastic gloss black to match the rims. This after I called the local Toyota dealer (just for laughs) to get a price quote. He says that'll be $65.00. I say, wow that much for the set of 4??!! NO he says, that's per cap!!! Well no wonder someone stole mine. Was a fleet rental car; Hertz. They were stolen before I bought it. I tell him no thanks but I'll come get a gallon of your Toyota SSL premix anti-free; just $20.00 gallon. Cheap compared to $25.00 or more on Ebay.
Day 4 of owning it and I got nearly 60 mpg on a 250 mile round trip to Matanuska glacier today. Did surprisingly well on the dirt roads. So far I'm very pleased.
OTD $22800. I didn't really bargain (really bad at it). But this was the best offer of the 10 some dealers that I contacted over email. This is even slightly better than the offer from a Costco-affiliated dealer (I'm a Costco member)
I went from 2012 Tundra to 2011 Prius 3 and I'm actually impressed. Love the gas savings!! Getting windows tinted next week and I upgraded the headlights and parking lights to LED, also replaced all the interior lights with LED's. I will post before and after pics very soon.
