Hey Valde I have it up in the air right now and see nothing out of place I check the cables carefully behind the seat (rear) while I installed the Grid charger. Now remember I got the car from a auction and the story goes that it was hit in the rear and the ice never ran since. There was damage to the bumper and tail pipe. Tail pipe is removed till I finish but was crimped over and could have caused chocking the ice, so removed for now. Very little metal damage in the trunk area and need a new bumper, other than that good to go. I could send pictures if you like.

    It's a Techstream file.

Seems like the engine and hybrid ecus are not online. A look behind the glove box wouldn't hurt.

Remove the lower glove box and make sure the connectors below are plugged in and in good shape.

OK done on the right side lowest plug there is a purple wire that has been connected to, it may have been for a taxi meter or something like that. but the connected wire has been cut and the wire tests good. right side not B2 lowest and runs to left side lowest plug

I'm getting strange results. When I try to ready 80 % of the time I here a relay by the HV battery click and the ready light is good 2 go. Then some times there is only a single click back there left side and no ready. When there is a ready the vehicle wants to move ahead or back but at no time even with AC on do I get spinning motor.

Just a thought but if the tail pipe got bent (considerable force) maybe I looking at the wrong end the ICE could have been forced to move with the initial impact I will try to look at that today.

well back at it and today with a fully charged battery and HV battery I ready and was able to shift into gear most of the warning lights are gone.
I can drive forward and backward (kind of a thrill) but only on battery. still the ice has not been heard from. I looked carefully around the ice for any damage and found none. Clean out the small amount of liquid in the throttle. Burned incense and prayed to foreign cars god. Still nothing yet. Hey the radio is awesome .. Time I think to short pins 4 and 12 correct? DLC3 ??
It also seems that the 12 volt battery dies very quickly. Then I disconnect it and recharge it out of circuit.

You need to hook your scanner back up to it and see what's going on now.

OK I fooled around with the software to the best of my learning and found ECU relay won't activate anything as far as I can tell. I still get C1259 HV system regeneration Malfunction and C1310 HV system malfunction. Any thing else seems to be minor.
I can still ready up and pull against the E brake. But no Ice .

In the testing area you can turn lights on and off activate relays etc but the ECU relays make no sound nor do anything physical. This may be a problem with the relay that was originally bypassed.

upload_2015-6-12_20-51-24.jpeg I am not sure what the function of this relay is but I'm going to look it up in wiring.I tested to relay with a ohm meter and the coil seems good and the contacts are not burned. There may be a problem with the supply of power to this unit .

It appears to be headlight or heater relay. relay.jpg and looks good anyway.

That relay is for the ABS motor. Do you have the cover for that fuse box? There is a map on the inside of it.

Yes I do but too cryptic. could this relay prevent ICE operation ?
I fetched the lid and it says P CON MTR And sends power to shift control actuator...All work on a fully charged 12 volt. Damn still no idea what may be holding me back.

Well I had to remove the car from the garage today and could not resist taking a tiny spin (electric) around the yard, and a flip down the road.
Took 5 min It was a hoot. Any who I see that no matter what speed I ran no attempt to ICE the ride. So something is keeping it from switching on. looking at relays. I have a problem understanding what actually takes place when the SOC requires the charging. What switches on, what relays active etc. I have the manual but it really is not a trouble shooting guide. The HV battery is good and the Grid chargers was a great value. I have a plug in car (wink wink) that carries a gas engine for good looks. So day it way jump to live. Got to figure that MG1 switching sequence out.

You may recall that I pointed out in my post #34 that you must resolve the communications problem before you worry about other issues. If you take care of that, you may find the engine will start to work if the engine ECU is able to communicate with the other ECUs.
