What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

I don't want to ruin the suspense. Will share soon.I will post pics after installation. Easy mods...
Let's just say it's something you've already seen before, just not on my prii.

 

How is the ground clearance on teins in regards to things like speed bumps? All the pics I see on here look like a speed bump would not fit underneath the center of the Prius. I've driven low cars before and am used to driving over anything that isn't flat at an angle, but I'd rather not have to do it again in this car.

 

Would you mind taking a picture at night parked alongside a wall or something? I'd like to see the slope of the cutoff. I did the projector swap on my car and think I am limiting my viewing by having them aimed to far down. I don't want them too high and blinding oncoming traffic though.

Blue covers like @Burna J . White leds.

Those are gonna be bright!

 

I've always had the leds and they are definitely bright with the clear lens. With the blue lense, I think it's actually gonna be darker but with the blue lighting to match my led footwell lighting.

 

I found this goes very easily if you squirt some silicon lube in there.

Then use some stiff wire to pull it through from the other side.

 

Well...Here's 2 of 3....more 3M, my favorite type of mod........I can always take it off and never permanent.....wish they actually made one with ZVW30..

The fitment is compromised because of the added garnish trim.
If I pad the garnish with a thicker 3M tape, I might be able to elevate it so it clears the garnish trim.
I am not even sure if I want to put it on or not. It looks just right now. Adding this chrome almost looks overwhelming. But on the other hand, I don't want to waste $$ on this item and not install it...Hmmm what to do.

 

You can find a thin layer double sided tape. My wife bought one from target. I just can't find it and take a picture.

I'm having fun following all these mods you folks do. Out of curiosity, do you remove the existing door pull surround before installing the chrome one? Or does it fit overtop with the tape?

Interested in the 'take apart' as much as the new installs...

removed some items on my car.... and will continue to remove more items today.........

It goes right on top. If I had to remove the existing door pull, I definitely won't be doing the mod. .. that's too much work for me.

 

The garnish already has a thin strip of 3M tape. The curvature of the chrome door pull garnish is catching at the trim garnish I have already installed.
Maybe with more double sided tape, I can have enough of it to stick to the door pull.
