I just purchased a new 2015 Prius Persona. A few days after my partner purchased a Honda Accord Hybrid - getting the same mpg as I do. This accord is STUNNING inside and out. My Prius looks like it was made by Fisher Price by comparison.

Am I missing something? When did other hyb

So I'm not sure why you purchased the Prius when you knew it was from fisher price? You did have access to the accord first

The Accord I assume cost a lot more than your Prius, you get what you pay for and nobody knows yet how the Accord will hold up in the long run, I'll guess you'll find out.

Honda Accord hybrid cost more and I don't think Honda will haggle on price. When I contacted a dealer there was a mark up because he said low supply high demand bullshit.

Why didn't you buy an Accord?

Based on my last two Honda products, good luck. I've vowed never again.

You really are getting that poor mileage? I just went to fuelly.com and looked up what Prius and Accord Hybrids are getting and something sure doesn't seem right with your MPG. My son averages 12 MPG more and his has 120k miles on it.

The Prius and Accord are both great cars, and each has its separate strengths and weaknesses. One of each makes a great blend of sedan comfort and hatchback versatility.

The Accord Hybrid is a newer design, while the Gen3 Prius is getting long in the tooth. The new Gen4 Prius is expected 'soon', less than a year from now.

If you continue to have MPG trouble with your Prius, please fill out this questionnaire, it will give us a lot more clues to guide our feedback:

Here are my photos. I like it, I do. I just feel like the Honda is luxury compared to this. The Honda we got a few days after my Prius purchase. I didn't know anything about it before we test drove it.

You should go to Fuelly.com to see composite MPG reults of USA owners, to see real MPG difference.

I'd be curious if the Honda is CARB certified. The Prius is CARB certified which I think may mean lower MPG in the first 5-10 minutes warm-up. I am under the impression if you get a FORD hybrid for example, in a non-CARB state you get a non-CARB hybrid which may get better MPG during warm-up. I think HONDA follows Toyota practice of only selling CARB certiifed vehciles, but I am not sure. This is why CARB warranty for Toyota is based on rules about state of purchase, whereas a FORD just says if your car is CARB certified you are covered in a CARB state. Last time I checked, HONDA was like Toyota.

I had a Fisher Price Toy Record Player when I was a child. Wasn't really a record player, but more a wind up music box that played different raised disks.

    Loved that thing.

Plus you absolutely could not break it.

    Don't knock Fisher Price....

That's a Persona series Prius with the 17 inch gunmetal wheels and upgraded interior trim. The 17 inch wheels will affect your mpg somewhat, most air up the tires to 35 to 40 psi, but the lower profile tires may give a harsher ride.

Really? That's messed up. Well I'm actually getting about 50mpg but the Honda is getting 51-52 mpg.

$36,500. is not much more than yours? mine was 22k. didn't get the persona though, they're pricey too. still, not a bad price for 50 mpg on a nice sedan like that. we paid 31k for my wife's hycam, and she averages 45, but i average 60. you're comparing apples and oranges.
