Gonna order a new double din Pioneer ( Pioneer FH-X720BT CD receiver at Crutchfield.com ) radio for Rosie and saw in the picture that the supplied trim kit that Crutchfield gives is not matching in texture, already bummed a little that the radio looks so SciFi with its glossy plastic (need someone to talk me off the ledge with his one) but now that trim is also looking non OEM I am doubly bummed. Any suggestions? The supplied trim kit is a Scosche TA2105B Dash kit. Have any of you used these and have any comments? Between the steering cover I just installed and the Neoprene seat covers I am getting too many finishes and textures going on. FULL DISCLOSURE, I'm a bit compulsive (read: crazy) Dont want my new baby looking cheap.
Alpine made a perfect match dash kit. I said made because I don't know if they make this any longer but you may luck out and find one online somewhere.
Crutchfield has it, Alpine KTX-PRS8 Restyle Dash and Wiring Kit Install and connect an Alpine navigation system in 2009-up Toyota Prius without the JBL system at Crutchfield.com but their service advisor just said its really intended for the 8 inch Nav screen they make, the Pioneer is a 7" I believe.. The next thought is how am going to dull down that shiny face on the Pioneer..lol
Any ideas if they ever made one with the HUD button cutouts too, as sadly this won't fit my Five with Tech Package. Or to the OP's question, if there is another double din dash kit with matching grey materials to the rest of the Prius dash? Looks like the Metra is the next best kit out there.
