Hi All, My 15" stock tires (2011 Prius Two bought brand new) were worn out at 28,880 miles. I had balanced, rotated, and aligned them every 5,000 miles. I don't know if these are maximum mileage one can get. Anyways, I have upgraded to OEM 17" wheel from a Prius Five model with Pirelli P7 tires, 215/45/17. These tires have a thread wear of 700 UTQG, rated at 91V and warranty of 70,000 miles, they are also LRR tires. They have received goods reviews on tirerack.com. Very nice, you're lowered as well? Or is it the incline of the driveway and resulting weight transfer making the front well gap smaller? SCH-I535
Low tp may have shortened your 15" tire life. If you run stock pressure in the 17" tires you'll chew them up as well.
Thanks for all the kinds words. Not lowered , it must be the incline on my drive way. I had 38 psi on my stock 15", what psi should I run my 17" tires, 38-39 psi?
I'd run the 17's a little lower, the ride is harder. You're very slightly lowered: the od of the 215/45R17 is very slightly less.
Really, stock recommendation I think it's 33psi F and 32 psi R. Should I follow the recommendation at 33psi F and 32psi R?
I ran my OE 17" tires at stock pressure and got over 70k miles out of them (rotating every 10k). I consider that pretty good as the factory tires on my RX350 lasted only 30k.
^ Sorry for the funky quote. I'm using IE11 browser and the site's not working well with it. Ours has the 17" stock. I usually run them around 36-38. With 195/65R15 I'd go higher, around 42. But the low profile 17's have a firmer ride. It's your taste really, but I've found the ride really harsh any higher, especially going over speed bumps (which I hate...).
Sure, I'll post a update after my first tank. It may take 2-3 weeks, my work is less than 6 miles from home, all local with no hills or slopes pretty even coasting.

Hmm, I'm not the best one to answer this. I only live less than 6 miles from work with no freeway driving and pretty even roads. I get an AVG of 45 MPG but I definitely don't drive like a Grandma or drive cautiously to improve my MPG. I also have a "Curt" hitch and European Mud flaps, I don't think these are help my MPGs. You're in Canada, I'm in California, so I have no experience with these tire in the snow.
