My 2012 plug in lease is almost up. Any difference at all between the 2012 and 2015?

I am considering a regular Prius and the 8 miles on plug in probably does not pay for the additional cost

has it been 3 years already! na,the only change i've seen is bad chargers. i'd go with the lift back. you should be able to get a killer deal right now, with low gas prices and gen IV on the way this fall/winter. all the best!

I am thinking it is probable that the newer 2015 models (vs. 2012) have been tweaked up front to get better marks on the IIHS small overlap crash test. Otherwise I would not be aware of any change.

You know we are expecting possible exciting new Prius by year end.

I know there is a new one coming but the existing one's lease is almost up. I wish they fixed the horrible radio -electronics- and bad gps - awful bluetooth!!!\\

Oh.. and replaced or upgraded the crappy entune system

Very little change between 2012 and 2015
At times Toyota has offered very completive lease pricing on the plugin so you need to run both numbers. I wonder if Toyota discounts the leases slightly on the plugins since your not eligible for the tax credits when leasing?
Don't forget the Prius plugin falls between the nonplugin Prius Three and Four, not III and IV as roman numerals were only used for model year 2010, when you factor in the wheels, navigation, XM HD radio, heated seats , three door remote access and some other features I am forgetting.

How time flies!...seems like Benalexe just joined. 2012 was so exciting with the PiP, and by Sept_2012 Toyota had steep discounts. We had folks coming up from West Virginny getting NY PiPs for $25.5k and then they got WV tax credit of $7500 and federal tax credit of $2500.

I was in the same boat. But Toyota offered a $3,000 subvention, and coupled with the $2,500 federal tax credit, the price of the PiP was comparable to the non-PiP.

Plus I get priority parking (when ICE drivers aren't fighting with me). So all those factors helped me to decide to go with the PiP.

unlikely that entune, gps and electronics will improve much on the next gen, but we live in hope.

I was about to buy out the lease but the buy out is about 18k. Probably not worth it
