hello! I am the brand new owner of a 2007 Prius Touring. I love it!! Unfortunately, in the three days I've had it, I have somehow lost the owner's manual. I'm trying to get a replacement. (I did call the used-car dealer I bought it from, and I didn't leave it there, but he said he could send me one. It might be from a 2005, though. Will that be of any use to me, or will it also apply to my 2007?) Anyway, the main reason I'm writing is to ask about the best fuel grade to use. I've filled it once, and I used 91 octane. Is that ok? Are there advantages or disadvantages to using either 89, 91, or 93? Thanks for your input!
Manuals can be downloaded from Toyota Owners Official Web Site: Service Coupons, Owner's Manuals, Service Scheduling And More.
AND......this question has been asked and answered a million times on here already. There is a WEALTH of information available here but you must use the search and LOOK for it.
Asked and answered. Use 87. Easy. Simple. Higher octane will not hurt the engine, but you're throwing away the extra money. Good Luck!
Yes, I realize there's a lot of info here. But I'm not only new to the Prius world, I'm new to the forum world too. So please give me a few days to get used to it??
Welcome. Sorry for being gruff but if every new user that signed up here asked the SAME question over and over...........
