I realized after I asked this at plugin forums, I should ask here as well.
We replaced a Lexus IS250 and a Saturn ION when we bought our Prii.

If I missed a category, or you want to add anything please feel free to comment.
There are some really fun car replacement stories out there.

2001 Porsche Boxster and 2001 Honda CRV. We keep cars 10-11 years.

Consider "other" and "2-cars (explain)" categories.

You can vote twice if you have two Prii.
I forgot Other, and hadn't considered a line item for the Prius replacing multiple vehicles, that would have been good:(

I came from a trouble free 2006 Civic LX. I drive a lot so I remember hypermiling to 45 mpg to try to make the tank last 1 week. Now with the PiP, the tank lasts 8 or 9 days. It's a constant bother as it disrupts my weekly fuel up cadence.

    Gotta love first world problems.

I selected "Other" since my 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 did not get 32 mpg or greater.

Sadly, I selected another Prius, as I failed to miss a semi who ran a red light.

The Prius v replaced (for most purposes but the last few infrequently used seats and cubic feet) a Dodge Grand Caravan.

45 mpg is damn good for a regular Civic. More like Civic Hybrid territory.

My first Prius replaced a 10 year old Honda Civic that was running great and getting 40 MPG.
Naive, I didn't expect to ever buy a car. But after Medical School I took a job too far away for public transport and bought my first car when I was 29 years old.

Nowadays I can appreciate great engineering, but I still look forward to every day that the car stays parked.

:LOL:I used to point and laugh at hybrid drivers for driving their ugly cars with no power. I was getting the same fuel economy as them. Now I realized without plugging in, I get 66 mpg and with plugging in up to 100 mpg according to the read out anyway. Now I point and laugh at fools idling away cash in non carpool lanes. :p

My gen 3 Prius liftback replaced a Mopar minivan. I thought we would miss the cargo room of the van. It has not been the case so far, I did not realize how much room a hatchback with folding rear seats has. Recently hauled a large 4 drawer dresser and 4 bags of groceries with no problems making it all fit. :) Mini van 25 mpg, Prius 50+ mpg.

My 2010 Prius replaced a 1986 Honda Accord Hatchback, which was still very efficient even by then-2009 non-hybrid standards, but was obsolete for safety reasons.

That Accord reappeared in my neighborhood a couple years later, just six blocks away. Last I talked to its owner, about two months ago, it was still running reasonably well and was close to rolling over 300k miles.

That Prius also displaced about 50% of the use of a '97 Subaru wagon.
