Hello I own Prius T Spirit 2005 in the UK and am interested in adding an Auxilary output to the car. The place that can do this wants to know the model number of the radio to see if they can pull an Aux output from there. I called Toyota but they don't have it, I couldn't find it on the owners manual and since it is inside the dashboard the only way to tell would be to take it apart. Does anyone know the model number or better yet has been able to pull an Aux output from the same model and can share their thoughts? Thanks
Perhaps you should go to a different installer that is more familiar with Prius radios. And having just done this by myself (took less than an hour using a Audiovox/DICE Silverline) last week, be sure the installer includes a ground loop interupter ($10 a Amazon).
Thanks, so does this mean it is possible to do so on this model and assuming all the radios of this make are the same?
Yup. There's a VERY good step by step guide (with pictures), here in the forums, that I followed. Also, look at GROM brand devices.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seemed to be under the impression that the Prius II T Spirit models could not be retro fitted with a lot of the Aux connectivity solutions available for base model Prii II models. Especially the ones that will display useful information on the MFD. Please confirm if I'm wrong, as I've been looking for a solution that would allow me to integrate my iPod / iPhone into my UK Prius T Spirit too!
