No. I used the B-quiet Ultimate which is rated for under hood application. Thanks(y)

One more thing that I learned earlier today - do Not look directly into the LEDs in the map lights when testing without the cover - they are bright!

I know this is a naive question, but would this increase the overall heat retention within the engine compartment? And would this heat retention be of any consern? I'm not really sure it would be since the engine has a radiator to cool it down, also I assume in Alberta your not going to have many days over 100 (like say in Az).

Also, do you have any other sound deadening in your car? I'm thinking of doing some when it gets a bit warmer.

Thanks. Before doing this application I always checked the hood after a drive, at least 20mins or more and I never felt it getting warm, much less hot so I thought heat retention was not an issue. The hood insulation/pad was doing the heat retention so any heat from the engine wasn't even reaching the hood itself. For the sound deadening part I was concerned of the wind coming across the hood. This could be debatable and I could be wrong but it's just me, lol! (y)

For your other question so far I've done the rear seat area and will add some more deadeaner in a few days. Also did the spare tire area. My next project are the wheel wells, and chassis using undercoating (brush method so I can apply it as thick as possible in one coat). I will be removing the side skirts/rocker panel and undercoating it inside and out plus, under it cos I've learned from my winter driving that it tends to get quite noisy in that area from stones, etc since there's no mud flaps (I don't want to put on those;)).

Did a couple of things these past few weeks.
    Fog lights installed.
    Blacked out toyota emblems.
    Window deflectors installed.
    Installed dash cam.
    Taillights sprayed red.

I blacked out the Prius emblem too but need to go buy more 3M emblem adhesive to put it back on uploadfromtaptalk1426050420350.jpg

Woohoo --- another very nice day today 56 and the snow is melting!

Arrived in the mail today- attached the ECU cover. The hatch led's also arrived today but I didn't get a chance to put them in yet. Still so many things that I want/need to do but the weather is finally starting to get better :)

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. Let us know how it holds up over the summer. And thanks for the info on your other sound deadening.

Got these from Rona today. Saw on YT and from a link on one thread here on PC of a guy using this to line/soundproof a Beetle! May not be the same brand but this product seems promising on both the description and label respectively. Non-toxic and pretty much like the regular sound deadeners @40mill. Will use this plus my branded ones on the doors and add another layer to my spare tire well and trunk. And yeah, the wheel wells too! Stay tuned...;)

Looks pretty wild.... I'm guessing vinyl on the seats? Who makes the interior trim kit and all the dash pieces? BP is the exterior color right?

Months after getting this from my secret admirer in Long Beach CA, I finally sprayed it flat black and added it to my inverter cover! Thanks again bro! (y)

I came across this post tonight and was wondering if anyone has tried changing the front side marker to a turn signal? Its from 5 years ago, but if anyone has done this recently are the wire colors still the same?

Front Side Marker Lights - change to turn signals | PriusChat

    It was also discussed in
Front Side Marker Light (disconnect or re-wire?) | PriusChat

Where @ImeanGreen gave the suggestion, in the second link, where if no lights are on then the marker light is in sync with the turn signal, but if your lights are on then it alternates flashing with the turn signal, which seems the better option for me.

"Option 2. Cut the negative wire of the parking light and tap this wire to the positive wire of the turn signalwire and you get the results as seen in the video."

    His videos-

Any suggestions/comments/concerns with trying this mod? Thanks
