    Dear Folks ,
    Hi

i was wondering if i can program an exciting smart key of a Prius sedan (UK MODEL), for a JDM Prius Alpha 2011 model .
The key with string is the original supplied with Prius Alpha and the other one is UK Prius Key.
    i really appreciate your help.

Well I bought 3 different remotes from ebay all of which claimed to be compatible with my Prius V. I took them to the local dealer and NONE can be programmed to work! On the back, there are number and letters which are almost identical but not 100% exactly the same. Apparently, you have to buy from Toyota or the owner of the Prius V.

frustrating, considering the arm and a leg they charge.

That's correct and that's why I tried from ebay, most of which under $50.
One of them even claimed that it came from the Prius V owner that only needed 1 remote!
This month is very cold and one of my remote stop working, I had to use the key to unlock the door and place the remote near the POWER button to start it up. BTW the battery is CR1632 that you should replace every 2 years or when no RED led come on when you press the button.
The dealer want about $300 plus programming which varies around $60.
