I need to mount a Dell Latitude laptop in my Gen 1 Prius. It needs to be accessible and useable from the driver seat. Not necessarily while driving, but at least while sitting in the seat.

Laptop can have the lid closed for the entirety of a trip (no need for it to be open while driving). I looked for mounts online, the issues are securely attaching the laptop to the mount and attaching the mount to the car.

    I think of two possibilities:

    1. Some kind of flexible plastic pipe with a laptop stand bolted to the bolts that hold the seat to the floor of the car.

    2. Use a bolt or somehow attach it to the center armrest.

If you just want a utilitarian mount (like #1) and don't care too much about aesthetics, then a goosneck mount made for a laptop will work out great.

You may want to check out mp3car.com. They have been putting pc's in cars for decades, even back in the 80's. Lots of excellent options there.
