Cruise Control Limitation

    Is there a limit of cruise speed at 117KM/H on Prius v models ?Can it be unlocked ?

    Not in the US there isn't.
    If there is a limit, it is much higher than that.

    What is JDM ??
    Details are important if you want to get good advice.
    Have you asked a Toyota dealer near you if it has a limiter on the cruise ??

    I haven't found one, nor have I sought to find it, but speeds well in excess of that are easily achieved, set and maintained.

    For the benefit of those searching:

    Yes, our 2012 JDM Prius Alpha (7 seat wagon) seems to only allow a cruise control setting of up to 117km/h.

    On the M50 between Dublin and Belfast, it easily does 125km/h, but setting the cruise that high won’t take, and the car settles back to 117km/h. Pushing it up from there with the cruise stick has no effect either.

    Well, the US spec model 2012 v Five cruise control will hold 75 mph all day long, and will increment with the cruise control stalk to “over 80 mph”. Haven’t tried to see where it tops out.

    There used to be a thriving industry in the U.K. to bring Japanese imports into MOT compliance and to remove the JDM top speed and cruise control speed limiters. Is this no longer the case?
